VMware ESX on VMware Fusion
I've written a quick tutorial on how to install VMware ESX on VMware Fusion. Performance is surprisingly good though it's probably not suitable to run any number of VMs inside the ESX guest. It makes for a good test environment to test out your patching scripts =). As a prerequisite you just need a Mac, a processor with VT extensions, and enough disk ( 10GiB ) and RAM ( 512MiB for the VM ).Find the article here:

October patchlist.txt updated.
VMware rolled out a few patches this month.ESX 3.0.2 - 5 patches
ESX 3.0.1 - 4 patches
ESX 3.0.0 - 1 patch
I'll be rolling out a new version of the patchlist.txt for each release shortly that are truncated to remove patches that have already been superseded by newer patches. I will continue to maintain both lists as some script users have commented to me that they would rather install all patches including those that get superseded just to keep the output of 'esxupdate -l query' consistent across all of their hosts for compliance reasoning. Also, I believe the last updates for ESX 3.0.0 have been released and those of you who are still on this release may want to start looking at upgrade plans.
