125 undocumented errors added to vmkernel error decoder

Mike Nisk ( aka grasshopper ) is at it again providing me with the raw data to update my error code database. You can find the vmkernel error decoder on the resource page. The decoder takes errors that show up in the COS logs like 0xbad0022 (SCSI reservation conflict) or 0xbacffe4 (,No space left on device). There are even a few gems in there that I hope to never see like 0xbacffe7 (Not a typewriter).

esx-autopatch.pl 1.2 released

I've made some improvements to the esx-autopatch.pl script:

# Version 1.2
# - Automatically determine esx version number
# - Handle patches like ESX-6431040 more gracefully, won't show up as uninstalled ( requires newer patchlist.txt )
# - Better error handling for md5sum
# - Color Output and formatting changes
# - Automatically determine ESX version
# - Will only install patches when server is in maintenance mode unless --no-mm specified
# - Download patch, verify, install, delete source package install process to reduce space requirements
# - Option to install local updates and not delete source
# - Option to have local installs not unpack each update



You can find the script in the usual place , also be sure and download a new patchlist.txt for v3.0.1, I haven't yet updated v3.0.0, but should get to it in the near future.
